In the dead of night, Francis answered the door to his home, finding Carl in his Military Academy uniform behind it. Although shocked, he warmly greeted his nephew before being pointed to the direction of his niece. Shining his lamp her way, Francis discovered that she was encased within the Nox Nyctores - Deus Machina: Nirvana. He ushered the two of them into the house, where Rosenne was noticeably startled by Ada's new appearance.

Carl explained the situation to them both before uncontrollably sobbing. The couple comforted him, and relented into allowing the two of them to stay in the same room. Eventually, Carl and Ada left the couple's home.
