Novels

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Part 1

Platinum the Trinity (プラチナ=ザ=トリニティ) is an artificial human currently inhabited by two souls - Luna and Sena, and formerly had the spirit of Trinity Glassfille as well, creating the trinity of Platinum. They wield the Arma Reboare: Muchourin and have a great adoration for Jubei, getting overly jealous over anyone who gets too close to him.

Platinum originally appeared as an NPC in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, later becoming the third DLC character in the same game.

Appearance

Natural attire

Platinum's body is that of a small girl with incredibly long hair, which they tie into two enormous ponytails, with two addition puffs of hair at the top of each one. Their eyes normally have large heart-shaped pupils, but when Trinity is in control, the pupils appear more natural.

Platinum's clothing is based off that of a magical girl. Their tank top shirt is covered in large gold buttons, with a huge golden bell attached to its blue collar. They wear white gloves and boots with blue socks. Their boots and gloves have comically large cuffs, and there are teal ribbons tied into bows in Platinum's hair.

In BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, there are pink heart shapes on the soles of Platinum's shoes.

Personality

Since two people are always present at once, it is very difficult to read their voice and behavior. However, it is possible to distinguish who is talking by the tone of voice and the voice itself. The two share a jealousy of those who become over-familiar with Jubei, but since the two harbor completely opposite approaches to things, they often argue. Sena would check the sturdiness of a stone bridge, while Luna prefers to throw caution to the wind.[2][3][4]

Luna is a brash young girl who is not afraid to speak her mind and voice her opinion. Both the souls within Platinum are young, and they are inexperienced with the world around them, as well as many social customs. Luna frequently examples her childish behaviour with temper tantrums and fits of crying whenever she does not get her own way. She can be rude, overbearing, and hurl insults at others with little forethought of their consequences. Deep down, however, she is still a little girl who has been forced through harsh circumstances in life, and is both delicate and self-conscious underneath her belligerent personality.

Sena is softer than Luna, acting kinder and more cautious. He is nicer than his counterpart, but is childishly devilish in his own way, deliberately annoying Luna at times while maintaining a sweet facade. Courteous and polite most of the time to those he addresses, Sena does have a tendency to laugh at inappropriate times and go along with Luna's immaturity. The two of them share many opinions even though their approaches to obstacles in life are radically different. Luna and Sena are comparable to siblings, often teasing one another and getting into arguments, but sharing a close relationship with each other that no one can breach.

Both children adore Jubei and loathe Ragna the Bloodedge, hating that he is so close to their master. Both of them have shown maturity as the world around them has become harsher, but both Luna and Sena still retain their childish sides throughout the toughest times.

Powers & Techniques

Platinum's body may be that of a small child, but they have the ability to use Ars Magus at an extremely advanced level, being capable of wielding Nox Nyctores class weapons. They wield Muchourin by creating and summoning numerous objects; this is reflected in their gameplay Drive - Magical Symphony - where they can create: hammers; boomerangs; frying pans; baseball bats; bombs; missiles; a large cat-like club; and traps disguised as presents. Their versatility in what they can conjure allows them to flexibly deal with opponents.

Platinum's mastery over the Muchourin is so great that they can even recreate legendary weapons with their Nox that are essentially identical to the original. This feat is made more impressive by the fact that they used the Sekkigan to recreate the Hihiirokane since they had never seen the weapon itself.[5]

Despite wielding a Nox, Platinum is the weakest of the wielders. Although their mastery over creation is great, they lack real fighting experience and both Luna and Sena are children who are incapable of coming up with strategies, and are regularly beaten and outsmarted by others with more experience than themselves. Neither are strong enough to resist the side effect of their memories being wiped by Muchourin.

Story

The rash and headstrong girl "Luna," the mild and relaxed boy "Sena." The two coexist in one body, and together possess the Nox Nyctores "Arma Reboare: Muchourin." In the land of Kagutsuchi that Jubei had been searching for, they realize that something about themselves has begun to change. [8]

BlazBlue: Central Fiction Library Entry

Platinum the Trinity

Wielder of the Nox Nyctores, Arma Reboare: Muchorin.

Inside her tiny body resides three souls: the short-tempered and hot-headed young girl, Luna, the laid back and carefree young boy, Sena, and one of the Six Heroes, Trinity Glassfille.

Since her and his personalities appear and disappear, it's difficult to determine which action belongs to which; although, the tone of their voice is certainly a strong clue. The one point they have in common, is hatred towards anyone who is ‘too close' to their Master Jubei.

Currently, they are on a quest to defeat Terumi, in hopes that it might make Jubei like them more. They head for Ikaruga.[9]

The rash and headstrong girl "Luna," the mild and relaxed boy "Sena." Since two souls coexist in one body, normally two personalities will manifest.

The Distortion Skill Miracle Jeanne, when activated, will for a period of time greatly strengthen skills that use Arma Reboare: Muchorin![10]
