The Ikaruga Region is a geographical location that consists of five Hierarchical Cities. Most of the Ikaruga Civil War was waged here. It is one of two known regions, the other being the Izumo Region.
The Ikaruga Region is the main setting of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma and BlazBlue: Spiral Shift – Hero of the Frozen Blade.
Information
The cities that make up the Ikaruga Region were built some time after the Dark War. The 5th Hierarchical City of Ibukido is surrounded by a circle made up of the other four hierarchical cities in the region. Each city is linked together by train, with thirteen different train stations residing outside the cities.
During the civil war, Ibukido was destroyed by the Nox Nyctores - Gigant: Take-Mikazuchi. This destroyed most of the natural landscape and created a large reserve of water in the centre of the region where the city once stood. Most of the other cities were badly damaged in the war, but the tourist industry and the guiding hand of Kagura Mutsuki has helped some parts of the region recover quickly.[1]
