Strategy

Es has extremely good reach and speed. Her normal attacks have great range, and her special attacks are generally very orthodox, making her accessible to players of all levels. While she's easy to use, her Air Dash is very distinct, creating an almost parabolic shape in the air. Once mastered, however, it will become extremely useful in attacking from midair.

At mid-range, Standing B and Standing C or ↘ + C are great for zoning. If you can hit the opponent with the very tip of the attack, even better. Start with Standing B to Standing C, then follow up with ↘ + C. If you land a hit here, don't hesitate to go right into Type: Slasher Mordred for additional damage. If it's blocked, follow up with Standing D or the B Type: Shooter Breunor. With the latter, Es can Dash after the attack to apply even more pressure.

When initiating from midair, the Air Dash to Jumping C is highly recommended. Jumping C will register a hit even slightly behind it, meaning if Es goes behind the opponent, it has a chance to land. If you get close to the opponent, use the Overhead → + A and Low, Crouching B to set-up an Overhead/Low mix-up. → + A is a massive attack, so try to set it up with a Standing A or Crouching A. Type: Assaulter Erec will throw an opponent in the standing state. The Overhead, Type: Slash Gawain is another great ability to use in mix-ups, effectively creating another Overhead/Low mix-up. Transition to these move from a Standing C.

When the opponent attacks from midair, use Crouching C and → + B to intercept them. Crouching C will hit targets directly above, while → + B is better suited for opponent more in front of Es. If the opponent is applying a lot of pressure, use the invulnerable Type: Slasher Griflet. Combine it with a Rapid Cancel for increased threat to the opponent.
