Synopsis
Short
Rachel and Hazama watch over Ragna, hoping against hope that their expectations will be betrayed,
in spite of the fact that all has gone as it always has.[1]
Long
The battle between Ragna the Bloodedge and Hakumen begins. The hero begins his iconic speech before throwing Ragna into several walls and intimidating him with his mere presence. Rachel continues to watch upon the battle, but before Hakumen can deal the ultimate blow, he is interrupted by Kokonoe with Phenomenon Intervention. The hero managed to prevent being transported away, and Ragna is given help by Kokonoe from afar. Knowing he cannot win, Ragna activates the Azure Grimoire, gaining the attention of Hazama and Rachel, the former of which makes his way towards the cauldron. Through his use of the Grimoire, Ragna manages to stand his ground against Hakumen.
Noel has made her way to the cauldron, finding the setting familiar. Both Rachel and Hazama look eagerly upon the event while the battle between Ragna and Hakumen continues. Noel begins to go into a trance as she sees Nu-13. The two Murakumo Units identify one another. Noel confesses her identity as the 12th prime field - upon Nu suggesting that Noel terminate herself, the two begin to battle. Noel begins to summon the Nox Nyctores - Arcus Diabolus: Bolverk while Nu summons Lux Sanctus: Murakumo. The two have a short battle as Noel landed several shots directly upon Nu's body, however, Noel was knocked out of her trance, and does not recognize her sister unit. Although she has nearly won the fight, Nu takes every single shot from Bolverk before activating her petals to kill Noel. The blades are stopped by Ragna, who has won his battle with Hakumen. The Grim Reaper demands that Noel retreat; upon seeing him, Nu's personality changes and she begins to taunt him over and over again, each sentence filled with sexual innuendo. Rachel continues to watch over the exchange from the Alucard Castle before Nu knocks out Noel and begins her fight with Ragna. Hazama has now arrived proper to the battle, seeing sparks fly between Murakumo and Aramasa - Ragna resorts to using Gauntlet Hades but upon seeing Saya in the face of Nu, he loses his cool and is penetrated with one of Nu's many blades. The two combatants are now stuck together through the sword and Noel has gained consciousness. Nu begins to activate her Murakumo while Ragna activates his Azure Grimoire and she offers him the chance to destroy everything. She begins to lead him towards the edge of the cauldron, and Ragna finally gives into his hatred of the world, disappointing Rachel.
Now falling into the cauldron, Ragna has a flashback of Saya, but is unable to hear her words. He awakes to see Noel reaching out her hands for him, and the two barely catch one another before Nu is sent hurtling into the cauldron by herself. Rachel is shocked, unable to believe that the timeloops have finally ended with Ragna being saved from the event. Hazama is ecstatic, too. Noel begins to cry, calling Ragna an idiot again and again - she runs off, hoping to find a doctor. Rachel teleports to Ragna's location, and she explains to him that Noel is the Calamity Trigger, and that she will inherit the true Azure. Rachel teleports away just as Noel comes back with various medicines. Now above the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi, Rachel turns her attention to the Gigant: Take-Mikazuchi.
