Akio Osafune is a Union who appeared in XBlaze Code: Embryo. He was in a gang of thugs in Shin Yokozaki City. He attempted to steal the Origin of the Grimoire because Sechs promised to cure him if he did.
Appearance
Akio Osafune looks like a young man with a more slim shape. He has shaggy orange hair cut just above his shoulders and covered by a baggy black beanie which has two buttons pinned to it -- one yellow and the other green. He has a horizontal eyebrow piercing near the inner part of his brow on the left side. He has another visible piercing on his face at his lower lip on the right side. All of these piercings are plain silver studs. His eyes appear to be a light brown color. His black, slightly baggy jogger shorts cinch below the knee and have ties at either side, knotted in a typical bow loop.
Akio wears a lengthy long-sleeve striped shirt in shades of deep indigo and a smokey lavender. The sleeves are cut at the forearm and attached via over-sized staples are shredded sleeves that continue the rest of the way over his wrists. Over his top he wears a similarly shredded long, very loose vest jacket in a dark navy color. He has runners shoes that are in similar colors to his stripped top, with the heel and toe of the shoe taking the darker color and the center being lighter.
Personality
Not much is known about Akio's personality. He was very violent as he wanted to beat up Akira when the other thugs were content with shaking him down. As his crystal progressed into phases four and five he became more insane, being beyond reason by the time Ripper killed him.
Biography
Code: Embryo
He was first seen cornering Akira Kamewari, wanting to beat him up. However, Kuon Glamred Stroheim arrived and beat up the other thugs. He then attacked Kuon with his Drive before running off. [1]
Later that night Touya Kagari and Es followed him to the Restricted Ward. He attacked Es with his Drive, but Es blocked it. He asked to know if Touya is “Touya Kagari” and once Touya said yes, he demanded Touya hand over the Grimoire. When Touya claimed he didn’t have it Akio just decided to kill him and take it from his corpse, launching a giant steel tower at Touya and Es. However, it was destroyed by Kuon’s Fire magic. Es then knocked him out and restrained him. Once he woke up Es demanded to know why he knew Touya’s name and hit him when he refused to answer. Akio eventually caved and said that he learned it from a man dressed in black with white hair, who promised to help him if he brought the Grimoire. Before he could say anymore his crystal progressed into phase four. Drei and Acht then appeared to collect him and took him away with them. [2]
As his crystal progressed to phase five Drei claimed he was of no use anymore. Ripper then appeared and brutally killed him to eat his crystal. [3]
Powers & Techniques
As a Union, he possessed the Drive Iron Shooter, which allowed him to fire any metal object he touches at high speeds. This could range from small ball bearings to a large steel tower.

He was after the "Grimoire" because a man with white hair promised to cure him if he somehow retrieved it. Ripper killed him and then ate his crystal. [4]
