Ringo Akagi, real name Marceline F. Mercury and also known as Zwei, is a character introduced in XBlaze Code: Embryo. Ringo is Touya Kagari's senior at Maha Raja. In truth, she is actually one of the Ten Sages who left Ishana to travel the world learning about curry.

Biography
Early Life
As Zwei, Ringo became legendary even among the Ten Sages. During her time at Ishana, she mentored both Drei and Kuon Glamred Stroheim's mother. Six years before the Embryo incident, Kuon's mother made curry for Ringo with a recipe she brought back from Japan. Ringo fell in love with it, so much so that she decided to abandon Ishana and travel the world to learn how to make the perfect curry.

Ringo is first seen working alongside Touya Kagari at Maha Raja. She distracts Touya from working by rambling on about a customer’s etiquette based on the state he left his plate in before the manager makes her stop. [1]
Two days later, Ringo is complaining about all the police activity and wonders what is going on. Noticing Touya is being vague with his answers about the danger, she asks him about it but he just says he’s seen disturbing articles on TOi. Ringo has no idea what TOi is and when Touya explains it, she finds it suspicious, saying people should seek out information for themselves. Ringo stops working when she sees Es inside, wondering about her relationship with Touya. Ringo asks Es if she is Touya's girlfriend but Es doesn’t know what that means. [2]
A few days later, she greets Touya and Mei Amanohokosaka when they go to Maha Raja, teasing Touya for bringing a different girl with him. Mei says Ringo looks similar to Zwei of the Ten Sages, but there’s no way she’d be working at a curry restaurant. Ringo says she has no idea what Mei is talking about. [3]
Several days later, Ringo approaches a near-dead Drei in her Zwei attire. Drei initialially assumes it’s an illusion, but she insists she is real. Drei wants to know what Ringo is doing in a place like this and she says it’s because the truth exists in places like this. Drei assumes she is talking about the Azure but Ringo insists she has no interest in it; that being able to know and do everything is boring and life is only interesting if you discover things for yourself. Drei says that she was always so free from the rules of the Ten Sages while Ringo counters that he was too bound by them. Drei says he wishes he could have been more like her before dying. Ringo decides to send him off, disintegrating his body with her Azure Requiem spell and praying that his soul will find peace. Ringo then finds Avenge in the sewers. She claims to just be a curry restaurant waitress but Avenge recognizes her and aks if she’s there to avenge Drei. Ringo says she wants to thank him and uses healing magic on him, but says that healing magic isn’t her specialialty so all she can do is patch him up. Avenge wants to know what she wants in exchange so Ringo asks him to protect Touya and his friends. Since they are about to attack the Mitsurugi Agency she wants him to clear out the foot soldiers. Avenge says that Ringo should be able to do that easily but she says she’s in hiding and that it’s not her fight. Avenge promises to repay his debt. Ringo offers to make him curry if he succeeds but he declines. [4]
Powers & Techniques
As one of the Ten Sages, Ringo is an incredibly powerful mage, said to be one of the greatest to have ever lived. She seems to specialize in Fire magic. One of her spells, Azure Requiem, creates a blue flame strong enough to instantly cremate Drei's body. She also knows some healing magic, but admits it is not her forte.

Actually the legendary Zwei of the Ten Sages and thought to be one of the most gifted mages of all-time, she disappeared without a trace six years ago.
