Akio Osafune is a Union who appears in XBlaze Code: Embryo. He is in a gang of thugs in Shin Yokozaki City. He attempted to steal the Origin of the Grimoire because Sechs promised to cure him if he did.

Personality
Not much is known about Akio's personality. He is very violent, wanting to beat up Akira when the other thugs were content with shaking him down. As his crystal progresses into Phases Four and Five he becomes more insane, being beyond reason by the time Ripper kills him.
Biography
Code: Embryo
He is first seen cornering Akira Kamewari, wanting to beat him up. However, Kuon Glamred Stroheim arrives and beats up the other thugs. He then attacks Kuon with his Drive before running off. [1]
Later that night, Touya Kagari and Es follow him to the Restricted Ward. He attacks Es with his Drive but Es blocks it. He asks to know if Touya is “Touya Kagari” and once Touya says yes, he demands Touya hand over the Grimoire. When Touya claims he doesn’t have it, Akio just decides to kill him and take it from his corpse, launching a giant steel tower at Touya and Es. However, it is destroyed by Kuon’s Fire Magic. Powers & Techniques
As a Union, he possesses the Drive Iron Shooter, which allows him to fire any metal object he touches at high speeds. This can range from small ball bearings to a large steel tower.
