Overview
Noel Vermillion, proficient in her signature Gun-kata fighting style and wielding an armory's worth of guns, will shoot through any enemy in her way. Brandishing Arcus Diabolus: Bolverk, the two handguns can morph into many different guns that uses in her kit. Whether it be a rocket launcher, a rifle, or even a railgun, Noel will deal significant damage with it from any range.
Prototype Abilities
Talent: Precision Strike
When hitting an enemy from afar, increases your overall damage by +60%. Noel's Talent rewards her or the Prototype inheriting for dealing damage from far away. The increase is static and doesn't scale with how far away you are, but instead activates once you've hit the set distance. The range for which it activates only counts horizontal distance and thus does not care if you're significantly above the enemy. Prototypes such as Kokonoe, Lambda, and Rachel, who attack from afar, appreciate this Talent for the free damage boost to their kit when they often are on the other side of the screen.
Unique Mechanic: Quick Reload
Quick Reload [Ground] Up + Skill: Fully replenishes MP. Has a 18-20 second cooldown. One of Noel's two main playstyles revolves around dumping as much MP as possible to have her SP skill, Zero-Gun: Sleipnir, up at all times. Considering that 200 MP will only return you 60 SP, it can be difficulty to have enough MP to even refill your SP even once. This is where Quick Reload comes into play. Every 18-20 seconds, Noel will replenish all MP regardless of much is missing. Now if you had 150 MP, used it all, reloaded, and then used it all again, you would have earn enough SP to use Sleipnir again. To recover from an over-exhausted Sleipnir, you would only need 330 MP, a reload, and then dump it all to completely refill Sleipnir from -200 SP. MP to SP ratio is 10/3.
Legacy Skill 1: Shroud Fall
Prioritizing distance enemies, Shroud Fall will lock on and fire several quick explosions at them. Damage and range increases with each level. Interesting for target distant enemies rather than those up close, lets you deal with enemies outside of your Prototype's reach.
Legacy Skill 2: Quick Reload [EX]
Your Prototype immediately recovers 100 MP. Recovered MP increases with each level. A free way to gain additional MP to help you continue using your Skills. Especially useful for MP heavy characters.
Potentials
[Ground] Attack: Noel performs a 4 shot combo with her handguns.
- Type II: Bloom Trigger: [Ground] Hold Attack: Noel releases a single shot that deals more damage than her [Ground] Attack combo.
- Discharge: Noel's [Ground] Hold Attack is changed to a large Area of Effect blast that deals a large amount of damage.
- Type VI: Flash Suppressor: [Ground] Hold Down + Attack x3: Noel performs an upward kick, a shoulder bash, and then shoots the enemy.
- Press Dash after any [Ground] Attack to dash behind the enemy that was hit. This Dash has a much longer Dash Invulnerability window.
Hidden Effects
- (Attack: Flash Suppressor and Earth Suppressor: 5 times): During the 3rd attack of Type VI: Flash Suppressor, mash Attack to shoot up to 9 extra times.
- (Attack: Flash Suppressor + Discharge): The 3rd attack of Type VI: Flash Suppressor creates a larger explosion and deals more damage.
- (Attack: Flash Suppressor + Dash Follow-Up): Dash > Down + Attack: Transitions immediately into Type VI: Flash Suppressor's shoulder bash.
- (Attack: Flash Suppressor and Type XIII: Revolver Blast): Type III: Spring Raid: [Ground] Down + Hold Attack: Noel performs a rising kick, launching enemies into the air.
Jump: Default is two jumps.
- [Airborne] Attack: Noel will shoot a rain of bullets down in front of her, and then shoot once with both handguns at the same angle.
- Type IV: Earth Suppressor: [Airborne] Down + Attack: Noel shoots directly below her twice. This can be used before or after her normal [Airborne] Attack combo.
- Type IV: Earth Suppressor can be used 5 times in a row.
- Noel can now Triple Jump. When she gets hit, she can jump to recover immediately and become invincible for 1 second.
Hidden Effects
- (Fenrir: Larger explosions): Type IV: Earth Suppressor's rainstorm causes larger explosions that deal more damage.
- (Revolver Blast: Jumps reset Revolver Blast's usage limit): While [Airborne], Noel can jump to reset the [Airborne] Attack limit.
Dash: Noel dashes forward quickly. She has Dash Invulnerability while Dashing.
- Dash > Attack: Noel twirls forward, firing her guns around her in the process.
- Noel shoots more times, reaches farther, and deals more damage during Dash > Attack.
- Noel can now Triple Dash.
- Dashing through an enemy will mark them.
- Type XVI: Ignition Bolt: [Ground] Up + Action: Noel manually detonates the marks, which breaks Super Armor.
- Noel has invincibility frames while detonating marks.
Hidden Effects
- (Revolver Blast: Dashes reset Revolver Blast's usage limit): While [Airborne], Noel can Dash to reset the [Airborne] Attack limit.
Mash Skill: Noel fires a minigun until she runs out of MP or until Skill stops being pressed. MP:50
- [Ground] Skill > Attack: Noel throws a gun forward that spins rapidly while firing. MP:100
- When the spinning gun returns to Noel, pressing Attack will make her throw it out again for another spin. MP:100.
- [Airborne] Skill > Attack: Noel fires a rocket down at a diagonal angle. MP:100
- If Noel's MP is not fully over-exhausted, she can fire another rocket until it reaches -100 MP.
- [Ground] Attack > Skill: Noel shoots a rifle, firing a strong single shot. MP:50
- [Airborne] Attack > Skill: After any [Airborne] Attack, pressing Skill will make Noel dive down, causing an explosion where she lands. MP:50
- Dash > Skill or Dash > Attack > Skill: Noel throws several grenades in front of her. MP:50
- All moves listed above cause larger explosions and deal more damage.
- (Zero-gun: Fenrir: All Attack > Skill and Skill > Attack moves): Dash > Skill > Attack or Dash > Attack > Skill > Attack: Noel will fire a rocket after throwing her grenades. Continue pressing Attack to keep firing rockets and grenades at the same time. MP:100
Up + Attack: Noel jumps up while firing her handguns, launching enemies with her.
- The shots are larger, deal more damage, and breaks Super Armor.
- While [Airborne], jumping will reset the usage limit of [Airborne] Up + Attack.
- While [Airborne], Dashing will reset the usage limit of [Airborne] Up + Attack.
[Ground] Up + Skill: Fully replenishes MP with a 18-20 second cooldown.
- Noel recovers a small amount of MP automatically when her default reload animation plays after any [Ground] Attack combo finisher.
- Noel is invincible while using Quick Reload.
- The cooldown is halved, now being 9 seconds long.
Hidden Effects
- (Type XVI: Ignition Bolt): Quick Reload will now detonate marks placed on enemies.
Hold Skill or Down + Skill: A large reticle appears in front of Noel, causing an explosion within its radius. MP:50
- Hold Skill + Any Direction: Controls the reticle and it can be moved in any direction.
- Holding Skill for long enough will increase its damage and range.
- [Ground] Hold Skill or Down + Skill: Shroud Fall will always cost 200 MP, charging it to its max immediately. This can over-exhaust MP.
Hidden Effects
- (Shroud Fall: Control reticle and Type XVI: Ignition Bolt): Shroud Fall automatically targets marked enemies, detonating it in the process.
[Ground] Hold Action: Noel unleashes Sleipnir, a massive railgun that fires a laser directly ahead of her. Continue holding Action to drain all of her SP. SP:100
- SP: Earn SP when MP costing moves hit enemies.
- Sleipnir can now over-exhaust its SP and can be activated when below 100 SP.
Hidden Effects
- (Universal Enhancement: Attacks have invincibility frames): Zero-gun: Sleipnir gives Noel Dash Invulnerability while using it.
Universal Enhancements affect multiple moves.
- Noel's Attack moves can now penetrate enemies.
- Noel can over-exhaust MP with her Skills.
- Attack moves have brief amounts of invincibility frames.
