Overview
Rachel Alucard, BlazBlue Entropy Effect's first DLC character, dominates the field with her overwhelming power. With her latent control over the Tsukuyomi Unit, she negates all damage. With her many familiars that assist her in battle, no corner of the screen is safe. Her seemingly bloated kit may seem overwhelming, but mastering it will make you an unstoppable force with the highest damage per second in the game.
Prototype Abilities
Talent: Ivy Blossom
After not attacking for several seconds, Rachel will start summoning Bat familiars around her. When approaching enemies, they merge together into one dealing continuous damage. The first of many ways that Rachel can deal damage without directly dealing it herself. Not to be confused with the Potential, Ivy Blossom, these simply deal damage over time and do not heal Rachel. Their damage counts as Attack damage and they trigger the effects of Attack Tactics.
Sword Iris + Tiny Lobelia
Rachel, having the most amount of Potentials out of any character, can seem very overwhelming. Unfortunately, a large amount of said Potentials are considered "bloat" and provide very little to Rachel except for giving her an additional 20% damage bonus per Potential. Despite the sheer amount of "bloat", Rachel still sits on top as the highest damage dealing Prototype in the game. This is due in part to the powerful combination that is Sword Iris and Tiny Lobelia, along with a few other Potentials to cover her bases.
Sword Iris is Rachel's signature Skill. Summoning a lightning bolt from the sky, she electrifies all enemies around her. Additionally, lightning will be summoned on all rods placed by Tiny Lobelia. With both of these Potentials maxed out, Rachel can rain down extremely powerful lightning from anywhere on the screen as long as a rod is there. More useful however is the ability to stack several rods on a boss. Each rod will hit the boss with the same powerful strike, over and over until the rod disappears or the boss dies; whichever comes first. To maximize your damage with Rachel, it is worth grabbing a few more potentials.
- Triple Jump and Triple Dash should always be grabbed for their very valuable utility toward survivability.
- Universal Enhancement: Increases the maximum amount of summoned entities. More entities means more rods, and more rods means more damage.
- Tempest Dahlia for its insane crowd control ability. Why deal with each enemy individually if you can push them all into one corner with all of your rods?
- Finally, the most important Potential for maximizing your damage. Clownish Calendula is a huge Area of Effect attack that summons wind and lightning where Rachel and any rods are. If you thought the damage from Sword Iris + Tiny Lobelia stacking was insane, try clearing bosses in seconds with Tiny Lobelia + Clownish Calendula.
Legacy Skill 1: George XIII
Summons a frog. The frog will unleash an electrical shock when near enemies up to 3 times. The frog can be attacked by enemies. Frog strength increases with each level. While seemingly a lackluster Skill to inherit, George proves to still be reliable. The main utility that George provides is his innate ability to draw aggression from all enemies in the game. Whether it simply be basic enemies getting shocked over and over or the Sweeper's entire barrage of missiles, George will simply eat it all as he is extremely bulky.
Legacy Skill 2: Tempest Dahlia
Summons a current of wind that deals damage to enemies within a large area. Duration increases with each level. If removing enemy-aggro was not enough for you, then inheriting her 2nd Legacy Skill will be a great alternative. Tempest Dahlia provides insane crowd-control, pushing all normal enemies in the direction you were facing when casting it. Whether it be against a wall, into spikes, or off the map, Tempest Dahlia has got you covered. As long as the enemies are not stuck in the ground or they don't have Super Armor, they will be moved with high damage accompanying it.
