Profile Description

Notes

• In Shinto Folklore, the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi was the sword that was found within the body of the great serpent Orochi after the god Takehaya-Susanoo-no-Mikoto cut it down.
• The Ameno-Kotowari-no-Tsurugi may refer to the Ame-no-Habakiri enshrined within Isonokami Shrine, the sword which Susanoo used to slay Orochi. This sword is often also called the Worochi-no-Aramasa.
