33 Potentials (+660%)

Overview

Taokaka of the Kaka Clan is an extremely agile Prototype that specializes in creating clones to multiply her damage. A mastery of her various throwable items and choosing the right time to cash out on damage with her clones and Heavy Strikes are vital to her kit. Additionally, she has one of the best Dashes in the game that gives her an insane amount of Dodge Frames continuously.

Prototype Abilities

Talent: Impatience

When the combo counter is as greater than 30 hits, increases base damage by 40%. The combo counter can be seen on the bottom right of the screen, which looks like a small slashing icon with a number next to it. A very easy to achieve buff that gives the same value as 2 Potentials. This passive is especially appreciated on characters that start out with low damage as they require several Potentials to get their damage going.

Unique Mechanic: Clones

Taokaka's first SP Skill, "Almost Becoming Two!", will generate a temporary clone that will perform the same actions you do slightly after you do them. Because of Taoaka's many Potentials that deal damage over a long period of time, such as her Heavy Strike, she can start dishing out large amounts of damage over time. The downside of the majority of her damage coming from her clones + Heavy Strike is that it costs 50 SP and does not do well against bosses that have quick attacks with little recovery. This means that you have to get good at managing when to activate your clones and attacking as the mistiming of either of these can lead to low damage or dying while attacking. Taokaka's clones will also produce additional projectiles from moves such as Fervent Kaka Knock! or the blade wheel from Spinny-Spinny!

Legacy Talent 1: Kaka Attack Command!

Kaka Clan kittens appear and attack enemies. The number of kittens increases with each level. A decent Legacy Skill that can be used to help take care of several enemies while focusing on others.

Legacy Talent 2: Crunchy Crunch!

Summons a blade wheel that deals constant damage and reflects projectiles while following your Prototype. The attack speed of the wheel increases with each level. If you find yourself often being overwhelmed by projectiles, such as when fighting Arakune, then you can choose this Legacy Skill to capitalize on dealing damage during those enemy attacks.
