Strategy
Rachel manipulates the wind using her Drive "Silpheed" as she fights. Getting used to timing D attacks properly takes practice, but once learned, she's a character with unique and enjoyable moves.
At mid-range, use the long-reaching → + B or projectiles like Tiny Lobelia to control space between the opponent. When → + B scores a Counter Hit, it causes a stagger. If you use ↘ + D from a jump cancel, you can go for a close quarters combos with Jumping B. When Tiny Lobelia hits the ground, it creates a lightening rod. Launching Lotus Barrel with → + D then dashing allows Rachel to close the distance quickly.
Once in close, go from standing B, jump cancel Standing B, then quickly ↘ + A + D or ↘ + C + D. Jumping A or Jumping ↓ + C can even hit a crouching opponent, making it a good way to break crouching guards. Mix Standing B → Crouching B to break their guard. If the opponent closes in from the air, counter them with → + A. It can be jump cancelled only when it hits, so if you keep inputting a jump, you can go for a midair combo immediately if it connects.
When under pressure from the enemy, Crouching C is effective since it has a guard point against attacks. If you have Heat Gauge, a Counter Assault is also a solid choice.[1]
