The interior of an Eclipse Field

An Eclipse Field (不可視領域エクリプスフィールド, lit. "Invisible RegionEclipse Field") is an area generated through science that prevents Observers from using Phenomenon Intervention. It cannot be intervened upon or within. One area generated from the Eclipse Field is known as Sealed Space.

Information

Similar to the Zanki Barrier Ars Magus that can be deployed by the Sealed Weapon Izayoi, the Eclipse Field generates a space which prevents Phenomenon Intervention from Observers. This is generated through the use of an Artificial Causality Phenomenon Weapon and is a creation of Kokonoe; Iron Tager is capable of generating an Eclipse Field but doing so takes preparation and a large amount of his power.

An Eclipse Field was used after the Battle of Ragna the Bloodedge to snare Tsubaki Yayoi in the Colosseum. Here, she battled against Makoto Nanaya, Noel Vermillion, and Jin Kisaragi as she awoke the Zero-Type Izayoi. Becoming Izayoi, Tsubaki was bested and broke free of the Mind Eater that had been applied on her by Izanami.[1]

Although Phenomenon Intervention cannot be used within or upon an Eclipse Field and Observation from the outside is impossible, it is possible for an Observer to Observe if they and the target are within the sealed space. The Maledictus Plaga variant of Mind Eater also functions within an Eclipse Field, allowing the caster to continue enforcing their will on a target.

Eclipse Field

An area that cannot be intervened upon, whether from within or from outside. In the story of 'Chrono Phantasma', Tager used his full functions to create such a barrier, causing the entire arena plaza to become an Eclipse Field.[2]
